When you have entered the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic online you will be able to create your own fundraising page.
Use your page to:
- Communicate your personal message for entering the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic
- Upload a photo
- View all of your sponsors and their messages of support
- Manage all online and office donations.
The online system is a great way to keep track of our fundraising efforts and keep your sponsors up to date on your progress.
How to ensure online fundraising sucess.
Set a fundraising goal - Your sponsors donate because you ask them to and they want to help you achieve your personal goal. Set your goal high as your generous sponsors want to feel part of the experience in helping you reach this. If you went online to see a friend's page, would you feel more compelled to donate a larger amount if ther goal was $250 or $2,500?
Personalise your page - Upload your photo and write a personalise message to your sponosors.
Sponsor yourself - "Put your money where your mouth is" and make a personal donation when you register or just sponsor yourself online. If you are asking others for donations, lead by example. The larger the first donation the more sponsors will be inclined to follow your lead.
Send an email - Send an email to all of your contact and ask for their support! People want to contribute and will feel valed if you personally ask them to help you achieve your goall.
Be Creative! The more ways you promote your cause, the more ways people can support you. Put your web page address on your auto-signature, on posters at work or attach it to your facebook page.
